A portrait of my child, once a week, every week for 2013.

Taken by my Husband, Daddy J.

You love stickers, you are so intrigued with the way they work. You stuck them onto this piece of paper and were so disappointed when you could not pull them back off. As we stuck this picture to the fridge you cried. Then we gave you another sheet of stickers and you refused to stick them to paper, instead you opted for the table, the carpet, and yourself. You are such a clever kid.
  • You love your new house, your new back yard, and your new play space.
  • You run to the door when your Daddy arrives home from work and squeal with delight.
  • You love to look at the birds and yell, "Shoe Bird!"
  • You met your new play mate, a young girl I am going to be looking after whilst her parents go to work.
  • You have learnt to scream when you don't get your way, you don't understand why you can't have what you want, when you want it. But we are patient with you, we are remaining calm and explaining that you cannot always have your way. You are learning, your tantrums seem less intense and you seem to be understanding more.
  • You have been cuddling and kissing us more and more every day, and we love it.
Your confidence is dwindling and we know you have been through a lot in the past few weeks. But we are always going to be here for you, no matter where we are or what we do. We will always put you first and we will do everything we can to allow you to be your confident self again. I always tell you that you can do it, you used to always try. Now you are more apprehensive, and it's not such a bad thing. You are hurting yourself a lot less, but just know you can do anything you set your mind too, and I will be here to catch you if you can't.

I love you. All of you, your tantrums and your tears too.

Love always, Mama J x
